To achieve results, you need to add value. To add value, you must develop valuable skills.
You have the ability to create wealth … your nature is the “ability to create …”
Let me take you on a journey how the idea of The Valuenaire.
If you look at the rich and famous there is one thing that they all have in common. They are mostly leaders and people that have made their lives and the lives of others worthwhile as a result of the remarkable experiences that they have created. For example, most of them are called experts, entrepreneurs, millionaires or billionaires. But they have successful businesses in their specialists’ areas. They have the businesses as a vehicle to serve more people in terms of their product or services of value and hence they have been rewarded handsomely. I’ll not spend time to mention these individuals but I will want you to think very soberly about any business person that you can think of and try and think about what they did to be successful. One thing is clear the more value they share with their customers over a short period of time the more successful they become. They prosper in terms of their influence and the harvest of their offerings … their products and services that they supply to their customers.
They deliver results of value and that’s their results to their outcome and this habit of creating future values becomes a habit which determines their income.
“Remember, the ONE and only realistic way for us to get rich is by creating wealth ourselves. And that means actually running a business, enterprise or going with an idea.”
Andrew Reynolds – Author Copy This Idea
If you don’t have this ability to create something of value in a given market place in terms of your talent and passion, you can develop your creative and innovative ability if you apply yourself to learn how. You can become a Valuenaire … Value Weaver.
Who are you and what can you create that is of value with your knowledge, skill, experience and personal disposition?
How can you make constructive use of the people and things in your environment?
This is at the heart of wealth culture. These things are the resources in and around you. But you need to identify these resources and develop the skill, knowledge and experience of how to transform them to things of value … products and services to benefit others. You also need to develop the skill to masterfully share these offerings that you have created to those that need it.
The most important thing is that you first and foremost become a person of value. You have to develop a growing mind set as opposed to a fixed mind set. This is the idea proposed in by Carol Dweck, Stanford University Professor in her book; Mindset. This means that you’ll continue to be a growing and contributing person. You’ll say no to mediocrity and yes to excellence. Developing yourself as a thinker and learner are disciplines that you have to acquire and grow in. This will mean being able to identify what is important to you. I want you to pay attention to the word IMPORTANT. You need to pay attention to what is important to you as a person, what is important as to what you do with whom you’ve become and what is important in the experience in terms of the outcomes or results you create. If you don’t have clarity in terms of what is important in these areas of your life and how to achieve them, you’ll be chasing shadows and certain as to the results you create in life. Remember, what is important is a thing of value. Always know the answer as to, “why you do what you do?”
You are a creative being. That is who you are. And what you do is to create and achieve productive results. This is the only basis for you to bring anything into being … you have to CREATE it. If you a Christian, you must have learnt that God created man in His image after His likeness. If God is the Creator then we who are created in His image have by default acquired this ability to create. This is the fundamental truth. Knowing it is one thing but knowing it experientially as the way you do things is fundamental for you to enjoying life. You are a thinking being and your thoughts hold the key to you unleashing your potential for greatness. If this stream of thought does not have a home in your habitual mind … the man of the heart (sometimes called the subconscious) you have to repeatedly pick up this vibration of thought so that it really resonates with the way think and do things. You have been created for GREATNESS. The seed of greatness is first sown in your mind. It’s a state of being. When you were created there were the following signs of approval stamped on you by your CREATOR. And all these signatures of approval as to the authenticity of His works speak of GREATNESS. You were created in His image … to increase, multiply, replenish and subdue. You were created to do good works. Your journey to greatness began in Him and can only be done through Him. You have been endowed with a lot of talents as your birth right. The idea is that you make full proof of your talents and profit from them. Do not lose sight of who you are. Your identity determines your destiny. Both are choices you make not chances and therein lay your freedom to create the value that you deserve so as to prosper as you make your meaningful and purposeful contributions to the world.
